Electra Elite IPK Auto Attendant - 03/30/10 09:51 AM
A company that I work for was given an older Electra Elite IPK system with Elitemail(Not sure which one). I've got the programming manuals and haven't had any trouble getting most of the system setup. I've setup other phone systems but they've all been newer with web interfaces.
Auto Attendant has been a nightmare. We found an NEC tech that came out and attempted to set it up but all he did was make an even bigger mess.
At some point we had power failure and found out the battery was dead leaving us with a blank system and a tech that can only have fix things.
We got greetings recorded and prompts but pressing any button from the main greeting other 0,1, or 2 just causes the vm to hangup.
I need to a general over view on how auto attendant works on this particular system and how to setup the recordings. I belive I know the memory locations to specify things like press 0 for the operator sends it to ext 100 and things of that nature but setting up prerecorded boxes for things like company directory and hours of operation are a bit beyond me.

What the NEC tech left us with was that 3 should should be mapped to the vm ext 130 for store hours and directions
and 9 should be mapped to 131 the emergency vm box that is auto forwarded to a hunt group that dials the owner and techs cell phone.
I know very little about this system and we've had a hard time finding anyone with information on this system. If we have to reset the system and set everything back up that is fine i dont care just as long as we can get it running properly
Thanks
