I am trying to check the voicemail on my internal office mailbox from an outside line.

System is an Electra Elite IPK.

My station has a DID number set, and DID works properly, as far as that goes.

I know how to get to my mailbox if the main voicemail attendant answers. (9 + extension, etc)

The problem is, when I dial my DID #, I get my outgoing greeting, and cannot figure out how to get to the automated attendant for the office.

Or is there an entirely different procedure that I'm missing?

I was able to get to a password prompt by hitting *, however it doesn't accept my normal internal voicemail password. Is the password it is asking a separate password from my normal voicemail password?

Thanks in advance for any info!
You may be able to press 9+extension at your outgoing message.

Regardless, if you press * ## (sometimes * ## * ##) you should get the auto-attendant.
All NEC Voice Mails is *2# to get to the Main Greeting.Elite,IPK,IPKII,SV8100. Not sure for aspire or DSX.
Oh, that's new on me. Is that post-Active-voice?
