Please explain how to program the NEC DS2000 to have a night button that turns off the ringer. Customer does not want the phone to automatically turn off/on.

That's pretty basic programming. What part are you stuck at?

In most cases when you put the phone into night mode either the calls go straight to VM or they change a destination where they ring. Night mode does not turn the phones off. When VM picks up you messages can give off instructions on what extensions to dial. Usually your ext. 300 will have a button programed as a night mode button. Please give us some more detail on how you would want the calls to behave in day mode and night mode.

I'm new to the position and have never "programmed" a phone before this job. I have searched the programming manual and user manual but layman's terms and phone programmer terms are nothing alike. =D

Please disregard this question. I just discovered button # 11 is already programmed for night mode.
