Hi there guys,
I really hope you can help me with what I thought would be a simple thing but apparently not!

I have a department group setup with a pilot of 222 and DDI routing accordingly set, within this group there are several extensions which ring sequentially as required.

However its meant to be a 24 hour support line so out of hours it needs to divert to a mobile extension rather than the office phones ideally to be triggered by the last/first person leaving/entering the office.
Adding call forwarding on the extensions doesn't work unless they are called directly via DDI rather than part of the ring group.
Can I use some kind of Day/Night setting to switch the department between ring group or straight to ME?

Currently I have to go into pcpro and change the DDI Incoming Trunk every morning and evening myself which is obviously a complete PITA!

any ideas would be great!

Thanks

Tim
Your Right Tim, Call Forwarding will not work when using ring groups.
When Your saying "DDI" do you mean "DID"? Yes You can set up Day Mode and Night Mode on the 8100. And Direct the DID Number to an Off site Location. The System has an Automatic Day/Night or you can Put a D/N button on a Phone to switch between the two Mode's.
If your Not Sure on how to set this up you may need to get an NEC Tech to do this for you, There is quite a bit of Programming involved.
Hi there! Thanks for your reply

Currently every morning and night I have to change the target in "Trunks DDI > DDI Routing" between the department group (223) and an me (715)

Sadly my knowledge is with siemens systems no NECs
What Rickman said. There are many ways to easily accomplish this but, you really need to be versed ion the system.
Set up automatic day and night mode then change the routing of the did in 22-10 and 22-11.

Thanks doghart! I had a poke around and followed your "Dial-in mode switching guide" from your website however after making changes and uploading them the pbx got upset and reset itself ignoring the changes.
Hello

Creating a night service mode is the best way to achieve this (either manual or auto).

You could alternatively assign group logout keys to all group members (assuming you are using department groups) and program the SV8100 to forward on busy to the offsite number. - If all members log out the busy transfer will take effect
I wouldn't use a ring group, I would use a virtual.
