Greetings guys, I am burning up the 4LCD-A cards at an alarming rate, and cannot locate the cause. This card is equipt with an +80v dc-dc power supply, when I meter the circuit at the MDF I am seeing 90 to 98 volts, its turning on my MWL when there is no voicemail for that line. I have isolated the card so that nothing is connect other than the PIM itself, I put in a new card and still 99v so I removed it right away, as to not smoke another card. Any help would be appreciated. I just replaced the main power supply to eleminate that as a problem.
The slot my be bad, move the card to an open slot..
If those ports have MSG lamps running on them constantly then that is culprit.
Besides the fact you have a 20 year old pbx...

No
Maybe 17 years old. At least they haven't got an SDS like the Hospital I've been trying to recover all week after a power spike! Just got it going, it lost three 30 dtc cards (two of them running a No7 link between the two nodes they have) a cp 02 a SP02 and a ck 01 a cp 01 and a mem 03. It took all our antique spares and then some!
Best laugh is they then asked me if it could survive till 2015!
I have had problems with an IPS losing cards when people piled crap on top of the air vents of the top PIM.
