We have about 90 extensions that need to be cleared out when a guest checks out. We have the Hotel/Motel Package in the 8100 but our property management software provider is lagging on providing an interface to the UM8000. The 'stations' these are hooked to are single line analogs with the little programmable button on them. So my question is is there a key sequence that the housekeepers can do on the phone once they dial the VM pilot to quickly reset an mailbox?
It seems like there would be as that's all a voicemail interface is going to do behind the scenes. Just curious if it's documented anywhere.
I have one installed, and the PVM card is hooked to the UM8000. Dialing a checkout code from the console deletes the mailbox, and restricts the phone. It is done from the front desk when a guest leaves. A check in code is used when the guest arrives.

I guess you can allow it in the guest room's class of service but then mis-dials can mess up other rooms.
I don't know if it works on this combination of VM and PBX, but I have sometimes assigned speed dials which walk through a series of prompts by means of pauses, to help Front Desk personnel navigate menus.
For example,

One speed dial might be [VM access code]+ [pause] +[*##] +[pause] +[mailbox number for Front Desk MB] +[pause] +[password]+ [pause] +[reset guest mailbox option] + [confirm] + [return to prior menu] ...

that's kinda what I was thinking. They are set up as Hotel Guests, so I can't imagine there's not a way to do it. I mean all that an interface from the Property Management System would do is send a well crafted sequence of tones to the UM8000 that does what your saying, I would think.

I'll have to dial up a Hotel Guest VM and see what the options are on their box.
