Ok, so...

I have this Univerge SV8100. It has 6 lines and 15 extensions. Any of the incoming lines will ring all the extensions.

My goal is to insert a delay on the incoming trunks, so my aftermarket call recorder will be able to pickup the caller ID information from the analog lines.

As of now, it seems, when we allow the phone to ring twice before picking up the call we get the caller ID info on the recorder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One thing you could try is to set up a Virtual Extension to handle the incoming calls, place this VE button *03 (optionally out of range/button 13 on a 12 button set)on all terminals.
15-09, 15-07

Set up the delayed ringing by extension for the VE and all the terminals its assigned to. 15-11, 20-04-03

Then set up this VE to the incoming ring group.

All this is in the NEC FEATURES manual. Please reference it for greater detail on how to accomplish this.

Is your recorder hooked to analog ports on the system or directly to the trunks?

Its directly on the trunks.

Activate the caller ID on the trunks for the SV8100. Should be a ring and a half delay automatically.
