Hey Guys/Gals,
I have a customer with an old elite 48 and an Elite Mail VMS-10. Problem is the default log in for cosessions (NEC) is no longer working as if someone has changed it. I have tried everything I know to log in and can't. Does anyone have any suggestions or backdoors to get in to this system?

I could give it a shot, is there a modem module on the vms card?

There isn't a modem on the board unfortunately. I wish I had your knowledge to do it myself. I also don't know if the customer would like it if I told them I was letting someone try to hack their system...lol... if you know what I mean. But if there is no other option then maybe I will present this to them. Just seems so bizarre that NEC would limit themselves like this.

Not quite sure what you mean by this. Are you saying that access to the mail should be open to the outside world??
