Client doesn't want to purchase a new phone system, and has tasked me with adding call recording to all 30 sets. System has 6 ~ 8 analog lines.

Client would like to record/monitor all calls with about 30 days storage.

Do they want internal calls recorded or only outside calls?

Outside calls for training & marketing purposes. They do need to track which extension made/received the calls as well.

Trunkside will be less expensive. An 8-port DLI unit is probably a good entry level product.

Link sent via PM.

edit: oops. They'll have to mate the SMDR with the call records if you do trunkside.

Yeah, that might be a deal-breaker. These are not technical people. Looking for an all-in-one solution. Money is no object (plastic surgeon).

He had a cheap source for call recording via the handset and USB of the PC. He may have a better memory than me. It has been a while though.

Can't use a set-based system. Need something that records system wide, all calls in/out. Typical of what you would use at a call center or financial firm.
