I have picked up a new customer that has a ux5000 phone system. They inherited it from the previous tenant and need to change the auto attendant greeting. No one has the password. Need a suggestion as to a work around from a terminal.

Have you considered becoming an NEC dealer? Since this is the second time trying to get password info for this system line?

Hmm your website states that you offer NEC as a product? Why not contact NEC tech support?

BTW Kimberly is cute...She really work there? you are a mighty handsome fellow too.
Why did you guys change your names? https://aslus.com/About_Us.html

We are Avaya partners and we service other phone systems i.e. DSX, etc... We have no plans to sell or support the NEC 8100 series. We are trying to help a customer out. If someone could assist, it would be appreciated.

Edited to remove name calling which will not get you any help here.

Any good tech could get the proper manual & fix this issue with little help. Sorry, no hand holding here.

First of all, your response is not very professional.

Secondly, if you have read the rules, we do not post passwords in open forums.

I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks to all the moderators that came to the defense of a guy who belittled our company and then put it back on us. Nice!

The last time we posted on this site we received help in which we paid $ for. We understand that your knowledge is worth something and we have no problem paying for some assistance, just as we would like compensation for Avaya or Cisco support. NEC is a low grade phone system that we do not have an interest in selling. However, we cannot always choose who our customers use.

We are members of other sites where we help one another. I came to this site because I felt like there are more people that understand NEC here.

Lesson learned, this site is not designed to help one another. Glad I do not have to work with any of you in the field. Best of luck.

Couple of points. I actually went back and read some of your previous posts here.

It seems you are servicing NEC phone systems you and are not qualified to do so. Almost VERBATIM you asked the same question on an Aspire S.

The NEC is NOT a "low grade" system.

I also am glad I don't have to work with you in the field because frankly I would have fired you for:

1) Servicing equipment you said you could, and were not qualified to do so.

2) Professional attitude.

Good luck, but I don't see you staying in business.

We both know you wouldn't fire me. I would be the only opportunity you would have to get out of the minor league NEC and ESI markets. You would have to upgrade your product line before you could fire me for professional attitude issues.

Do what you do best, stick to forum conversations. I'll make money.

It's been fun. Feels like I've been conversing with 1st graders. Take care yourself and the 10 handset market. Maybe I'll throw you a lead sometime.

I just took the time to look at some of your posts.

My apologies, I did not realize this is your way of drumming up business. I was under the wrong impression of this site. I am being totally honest when I say I apologize. In other tech forums we help each other with cross over technology. We do not use it for getting customers.

Has to be an IT tech posing as a phone tech. Good luck with that.

The big league...LOL. Apparently he doesn't want to consider NEC has about 40% market share. Besides, I come from the Tadiran PBX side..nuff said for those that know what big league is.

It's interesting though, having been in business now for over 20 years. I don't think I ever took on a customer that I didn't know the equipment and referred them to someone else that I knew did it or came here and found a local company. Amazingly, I have gotten a ton of request to bid years later because of it. Go figure.

Shg

You state that on other boards you help each other. You claim to know other product lines, yet in the last 2 years you have been registered here, you did not offer anyone here help yet you expect to receive help.

The SV8500 can grow up to 24,000 ports, how is that considered minor league?

Perhaps he stayed in a Holiday Inn Express?
