I have an SV8100 with 8.0 software. I'm using a UM8000 for the voice mail and it has been upgraded to the latest software. I have 1 ext, ext 110, that if she's on the phone and a call is transferred to her, the caller hears "I'm sorry I didn't hear your selection". Not every time. She is in the same COS as all the other phones and it's only 110. I tried it 3 times with her on another line and I got through fine twice. I'm told that it's not operator error. They do use the 7 for quick transfer. Any hints?

so are they dialing 110 or is it"press 7 for ext 110"? is the transfer UTRF or TRF? If it is 7, what happens when you put 101 or 112 into the 7 field? What happens if you simply dial 110?

Is this PRI, POTS or SIP? checked the DIM capture to see what the system sees?

When you upgraded the UM8000 to the latest software you should have upgraded the SV8100 up to 9.

Browse into the admin console, watch your port activity while making test calls with 110 on a call and while idle.

Do you have fixed call forward set, if so what are your settings? Confirm all necessary fields are filled in.

Thank you for your quick responses. These are just normal copper lines. I went on site and made a bunch of test calls and I did get it to fail every time when I pressed transfer 110+7 when 110 was on a call. I've explained to them that the 7 isn't necessary if they are on the phone. Is there a way to disable the 7? I thought it was 11-16-09. I didn't get a chance to see if all mailboxes were doing this or just 110. I checked the one key dialing for 110 and it was blank.

By the way. After you do an update you need to connect with WinSCP and remove the update files located

Vmail\var\update

Vmail\tmp\update_tmp

They can add 50 hours to the lost storage count

Have you monitored the voice mail ports while testing? If not you need to, in most cases this will show you what the UM8000 is doing.

If fixed call forward in being used fields 2,3 and 4 have must voice mails pilot number no matter what 1 is set as.

I think I figured this out. The system is programmed so that calls to busy exts to go directly in to the voice mailbox. When they are transferring to busy ext's they are dialing a 7 (which isn't needed) and the voicemail is seeing the 7 and doesn't know what to do with it. Told them to not use the 7 anymore.
