Hi Guys,
A bit of a debate around the office here regarding the requirement for ARS on SIP trunk lines. We have up till now used ARS on one flavor of PRi and on SIP trunks. On SIP trunks to give us no post dial delay however some cell carriers here using non standard number lengths and analyzing them in PRG 26.02 is becoming a pain and with NetLink even more so..

Do you guys bother about it or just let the post dialing timer in PRG 21.01.03 kick in..

I always use ARS but here it is easy because I only have 10, and, 11 a few 3 digits leghnths to deal with.

Thanx guys. Now what happens when you have say a 5 Netlink site with SIP carriers on all of them using their own trunks remembering that in PRG 44.05 you can only have 4 trunk groups??

ARS class of service then may comes into play.

If you have multiple sites (netlink etc) you will need ARS with Froute and COS to make it work properly. At the very least to have 911 working correctly.

But you can still only have 4 TK GPs even with ARS class using PRG 44.05.. You can do this with ARS class in 26.02 but you may as well use TK GP Routing as you will still get the post dial delay..
