Hello, I know a little about NEC Electras and quite a bit about Nitsuko and this seems to be more like a Nitsuko than an NEC.
I want to connect my laptop to it but I dont know what is required.
I have the software to program the Aspire PC Pro 6.20.

Does it require a DCI like the old Nitsuko?
Or does it require a MIFM?
do you just plug in the serial port and it works without anything?

Set programming is painfully slow
thanks

Ethernet web based or pcpro if you have the correct version.

so no hardware equipment required just a serial cable?

actually looking at the software it looks like it only allows IP connection and not serial at all.
So what is the default IP address

The Ethernet interface on the Aspire is on the processor card. You can find out the current IP address of the system by going into programming on the telephone set, and looking at program 10-12-01. The system might be a default IP, or may have been changed if it's already been on a network

You will need the proper user name and password to log into programming either using PC Pro - or just the Web interface called Web Pro.
