Hi Friends!

I am trying to connect an ATA FXO gateway to a NEC PBX SV8100. I really don't know dialtones, cadences, and other telephony signals... so... HELP!!!

The cenario:

Asterisk --- SIP --- Grandstream GXW4108 (FXO) --- Analog extensions of NEC SV8100

My actual status is:
I can call Asterisk from NEC. It is working perfect.
The problem is the other way.

Asterisk try to call NEC, and keeps ringing.
I already got DEBUG from Grandstream, and It is passing the call to NEC.
The extension in the NEC doesn't ring. I see the call in the grandstream with the channel opened... The msg below:
Line 4: busy, PSTN Outgoing (dialed#): 8200

This is my Grandstream setup:

----------
Setup Grandstream

Enable Current Disconnect= N
Current Threshold = 100ms
Enable Tone Disconnect = Y
Enable Polarity Reversal = Y
Enable Call Supervision = Y
Silence Timeout: 60s
Incoming RingTimeout: 6
AC Impedance = 600ohms

Number of rings before Pickup: 1
Caller ID Scheme: 1 (Bellcore)
Caller ID Transport: 1 - Relay via SIP From

- Dialing:
Wait for dialtone: N
Stage Method: 1
Min Delay before Dialing out: 500ms
Hookflash duration: 60ms
Use DTMF via RFC2833: Yes
Digit Leng: 100ms
Digit Volume: -11
Dial Pause between digit: default (100ms pause wont show)

These are my dialtones:

ch1-8:f1=350@-11,f2=440@-11,c=0/0; (Dialtone)
ch1-8:f1=440@-11,f2=480@-11,c=200/400; (Ringback Tone)
ch1-8:f1=480@-11,f2=620@-11,c=50/50; (Busy Tone)
ch1-8:f1=480@-11,f2=620@-11,c=25/25; (Reorder Tone)

---------
These other dialtones were gotten using LINE ANALISYS, but they didn't work, so I change back to the default because they are more similar with the NEC manual parameters.

ch1-8:f1=425@-11,f2=425@-11,c=98/2; (Dialtone)
ch1-8:f1=440@-11,f2=480@-11,c=200/400; (Ringback tone)
ch1-8:f1=480@-11,f2=0@-11,c=0/0; (Busy Tone)
ch1-8:f1=480@-11,f2=0@-11,c=0/0; (Reorder Tone)

Anyone has THE LIGHT? smile

Thanks a lot,
Denilson

Do have any NEC TDM or VoIP phones?

How do you have the NEC setup to ring the phone?
Hi Dans!

Are you asking if we have NEC Digital (KS) phones? Yes, we have.
We don't have voip phones (should be great to do SIP trunk), but we don't have.

I don't have the setup to ring the phones. Could you tell me what informations I should get of our NEC?

Denilson,

There is way to much programming to configure on the NEC system.
You need to call the NEC support in Brazil to aid you in this setup.
