I'm in the process of installing an SV9100 at the local YMCA. I'm using 1.80 software. I have turned on the alarm feature so that the front desk can see who is calling 911. I always set " trunk access code required ". I have 4 copper trunks. If I call 9-911 line 4 lights up then drops and line 3 lights up. Not sure why. If I set "trunk access code not required " and dial 911 it works fine. I haven't tried it on our demo system yet. No ars or fancy routing. Some exts are toll restricted but this happens on all exts. Any suggestions?

The 8100 is the same way. You can choose an outgoing trunk then dial 911 and the call will go out a different trunk. NEC says that is the way it is. It sees the trunk you chose as busy so it grabs another trunk to send the call out. That has caused me headaches as well.

I finally called NEC about this and he said it's been this way since the IPKII. Never noticed. He gave me a program change to make and now it works fine.
