Tried setting up email notification on 9100 using Gmail, but received an email from Gmail stating the following "Someone just tried to sign in to your Google Account [email protected] from an app that doesn't meet modern security standards."

Settings were:
47-18-01 - Checked
47-18-02 - [email protected]
47-18-03 - 465
47-18-04 - Checked
47-18-05 - Yes
47-18-06 - [email protected]
47-18-07 - gmail password

90-11-11 - 192.168.1.1 (Customer's server is DNS server)

Anybody else seen this and/or know a way around it?
You might check and see if the two step verification is turned on or off in your gmail account. Some of them automatically turn it on when you set it up. Login and click on my account under the username. There may be other setting for security in there that may be set as well.

Try 8.8.8.8 as the DNS

Jeff's answer I think has the correct answer. I struck this while testing using one of my Gmail accounts last year. When I turned it off it worked.

Have a look at this tech note on Dropbox. There is info on the last page that tells you how to see what's going on via the DIM log trace.

Google uses a higher level of security which the 9100 cannot handle. In the google account you need to set it for reduced security.

Take a look at this https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en it deals with "Less secure apps" connecting to gmail.

That did the trick. Thanks for the tips!
