When anyone who calls in from an outside number tries to dial in a certain extension when instructed, the system states that it doesn't know what they typed. No matter what I try I continue to have the same issue. Does anyone now what I can do somewhere in programming to prevent this issue?
If the caller is using an iphone, see the link...https://www.iphonetopics.com/dtmf-tone-issue-ios-8/
Tried it on several phones, Iphone, Android, all seem to be causing the same issue.
What type if lines??? ,Analog , PRI, Sip ?? https://sundance-communications.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/600932/Re:_SV8100_SIP_trunk_problems_
PRI I believe. (I am newer to working with phone systems so my apologies.)
Sounds like you have an IAD that isn't properly setup from the carrier.
What type of auto-attendant/voicemail are you using? Does it work from a landline? Do any extensions work?

If you are using the UM8000 voicemail and are trying to transfer to an extension that does not have a mailbox assigned, you will hear "I'm sorry, I did not hear your selection"
