I don't see anything that says the 9100 can detect telco's incoming distinctive ring pattern, to be used with DIL to the fax machine. Am I missing something, or just better to have the customer spring for a separate fax line? POTS lines.

Yes a pots line is the way to avoid trouble calls on fax machines in my opinion .

You can send to AutoAttendant and it will detect fax
