We're new to Sl2100

We're having an issue getting our SIP trunks to register to the carrier.

More fields than we're used to
.
Which fields are absolutely necessary ?

NEC is not much help.

Any surefire SIP trunks "cheat" sheets out there ?

All we have is the IP address, auth user, auth password and port number
Router is set up properly.

Thanks

Have you tried anything else besides sl2100 to register with provider?

Which ports are forwarded to sl2100 ip?

We have the SIPs currently in use on a Samsung system.
So I know they work

Port 5060

first, you need to explain what carrier is providing your SIP trunks. there are 3 types of services
registered, non registered and registered with authentication. that is your first thing to find out.
each has specific program perimeters that need filled out. non registered is the easiest.

Hi Ronaround,

Just read this top, I know SIP service with registered, non registered. what's the differences between registered and registered with authentication?

Non-Registration Mode - This is where the trunk simply sends the digits dialed, in an invite message (call setup message), to an IP-Address given to you by the SIP trunk provider. This is also the method used for SIP Tie lines between two phone systems.
• Registration Mode - This mode requires the SIP trunk to register with the SIP provider’s Registration Server before being allowed to place calls over the provider’s network. The system registers with the carrier when first connected and then at programmable intervals. It is a simple registration message notifying the SIP carrier of the SL2100 location/contact information.
• Registration with Authentication Mode - Authentication is an additional step to the registration mode. The SL2100 system attempts to register to the SIP providers Registration Server and the carrier responds with a request for authentication, which is simply a password. The SL2100 forwards the password and the carrier gives the ok allowing the SL2100 access to start making calls on the trunks. As with Registration Mode, the authentication performs upon initial service connection and at programmable intervals.
