Hi

I am in the process of replacing a Toshiba phone system with a SV9100 they have two phones in the shop that have external ringers on them it looks like they are proprietary Toshiba devices that are coming out of the back of the phones

I am having a brain cramp on what I can do to possibly add some sort of loud ringer to the individual extensions possibly using a analog port

I am trying to do this by dialing there exiting individual extensions

any thoughts are greatly appreciated

Thanks

JD

If you're not afraid to open the phones and get out a soldering iron, Viking Electronics makes a handy little package that comes with everything you need, including a small paging horn. This will address not only the loud ringing situation, but will also allow for loud paging when calling the station via intercom. I've used these on several different systems, even IP sets. As long as the phone has a speaker for signalling, this is your best bet:

If you are concerned about voiding the warranty, try a APR-L unit.
The APR-L UNIT (Analog Port Ringer) provides an analog interface for the
terminal. The APR-L UNIT adapter provides ringing which allows the connected
device to be used for incoming and outgoing calls.
Refer to the hardware manual for details.
