Anyone know how to setup a softphone with SL2100? The SL2100 doesn't have a VOIP daughter board, it comes out of the box with 8 VOIP ports. I have tried with NEC Desktop Suite in softphone mode but without any luck.
Thanks

Probably needs a license. You can always turn on a demo license to verify this.

I don't think that i need a licence because the softphone is registering on SL2100 and run the Desktop Suite in trial mode for 90 days. I can see the mac address and the ip of the computer in the section 15-05 "IP Phone Basic Setup", but when I start the Desktop Suite, after 30 seconds(timeout) it says that cannot connect to the CTI server.
I followed this tutorial https://midwesttechnology.uservoice...g-desktop-suite-on-the-nec-sl1100-in-sof and don't know if this is available for SL2100 too.

Well, there is a lot there to setup for voip to work. 2 internal Ip addresses, 5103 in licenses..etc. Setting up a user in the system. You might want to call tech support and have them walk you through everything; there is a lot is can be.

I already called the company who sold the SL2100, but they told me that we must buy the VOIP daughter board(SL2100 comes out of the box with 8 VOIP ports) and even that, they don't know how to setup the softphone and we must buy an IP Desktop Telephone.

Your programming sheet is incomplete as Coral stated - You should contact NTAC for support and the correct programming for an SL2100

There are differences between the SL2100 here in the North America and the ones sold in Europe. Here in the US the VoIP daughter board is not needed until you need more than 8 IP resources.
Additional problem, you are a end user, unless you get a tech ID from NEC you will not be able to receive tech support.

You are right, we don't have a tech ID from NEC and I don't know how to get one. I have tried to solve the problem sniffing the network with wireshark. I saw that when softphone request to register the response from the SL2100 is "401 Unauthorized", but don't have any clue how to solve this.

Ya having the tech ID will get you tech support on this particular system.

Have you checked the feature activation file?

The BE116746 1-port 3rd party SIP Station License is required. But I believe the temporary feature activation includes that ability for you to play with it.
