Hi there,

I'm already 4 days puzzling my mind about this. bash

This is what I want:

Music on hold and background music from the same external source (BG/MOH port on the CD-CP00)

OR

Music on hold from an internal VRS file and background music from a external source)

I managed to have MOH from BG/MOH port and from VRS file, and I managed to have MOH from BG/MOH port but not at the same time. Unfortunately I can't get that done. I can have MOH or BMS but not both.

Tried (I think) every combination of settings in 10-04, 10-21, 10-38.
What am I missing here? Some hidden setting maybe?
You can have both. You are looking in the wrong place. Look at 14-08. If you have digital trunking you will need to look at your DID tables.
I don't use trunks yet, so 14-08 isn't doing anything for me now. I'm waiting for a analogue trunk card to come in, then I can have a look at trunks. I'm talking about internal only at the moment, it's the only thing I can test right now.

I would prefer to use external music as it gives more variety to the MOH and BGM
10-21 set your ports
10-04-01 EXTERNAL

Set your trunks for BGM (when you get it)

Put External device on BGM port. Mono only 600 Ohm

Activate BGM on telephone.

Background music is a trunk application on these systems.
I did all that. I do have Music On Hold when I put an internal call on hold. I don't have Background Music when activated on the phone.
Ok, make both ports active BGM/MOH use splitter and provide audio to both ports. You do understand that the whole point of separating them is that you can have a fixed MOH and then something for BGM right?
I was hoping to use the setting "same as MOH" for BGM. But a splitter will work to. Thanks for your help!
Well to be honest do you need internal MOH? If you use the trunk settings I gave you you will have MOH on your calls when you park them or put them on hold and BGM. Been doing this for over 25 years never been an issue.
Well to be honest, I don't need a PBX at all... but that is not the point. It's about exploring SV8100's possibility's. And now I know much more about its MOH and BGM options and I thank you for that :-)

I wish I had your time!
