Had a customer call for some minor provisioning changes. Hadn't been to this site in quite some time, and we don't have many DSX systems left in service anymore. Anyways, I go and connect my laptop, and the ethernet port on the CPU will not respond using the default IP. I verified with a backup config, that it does use the default IP. I tried connecting via USB, and it would not connect either. Found out it appears the USB driver is not compatible with Windows 10. I was able to make the necessary programming changes from the phone, but am curious as to why the ethernet port won't respond. I did power cycle the unit, but no change. Anyone else ever encounter this?

First off, to load the program in WIN 10 you must first disable Windows drivers--I forget the exact notation, but you need to boot WIN 10 up in safe mode to get there. Win 10 looks for drivers that it recognizes as legit. Then you can load it. Next, if you are connecting directly, make sure your PC is on the same network as the system. Since you can get in through the phone, check the IP address, subnet and gateway. Set your PC to the same network.

I am positive my network settings were correct. At least going off of the backup copy of the configuration that I have.
I will try these suggestions and and see if that gains me anything.
Thank you for the suggestion.
