I’m just trying to figure out what the maximum number of IP phones I can have on an SL 2100 according to the brochure it looks like it’s 112

I am in the process of quoting a school system an IP phone system but I’m not sure if 112 is gonna be enough it looks like they have about 120 I’m just wondering if I can use TDM phones if I run out of Ip Ports

It looks like the system has 256 ports but I’m not sure if I’m thinking this right way

They have a PRI

And two external page zones

Also are the IP phones that they use on the 2100 compatible with the IP phones on the 9100

I’m not a dealer in the 9100 but I would have to go through a third-party which makes it very confusing

Thanks

Yes the 2100 is limited to 112 IP ports, 9100 phones will not work on the 2100 and vice versa.
This is a solution I came up on a private school which of course had a budget limitation. The system was the 8100 and since has been migrated to the 9100.
For instance they had a OT department which had 3 employees, we put 1 32 button phone in, assign 2 virtual extensions each assign to a button, with their own ring tones. Each virtual had a subscriber mailbox assign to a button next to the virtual.
This might work for you, if not go with the 3rd party 9100 which I would recommend because of the growth limitations of the 2100.

Good luck

Ya, you are hitting the wall there in a 2100. Also the 9100 gets Netlink which is HUGE. This is why they sell different systems for different clients and needs. Seriously, you should consider picking up the 9100 as at least a VAR. The systems program a lot alike so the training and certs should be pretty easy if you are familiar with the 2100.

Can I add 16 digital phones if needed ? To max out at 128 station ports

I’ve been trying to become a dealer on the SV 9100 SV 8100 for 10 years now nobody seems to want to give me the time a day that’s what I’ve been installing for other phone companies as a contractor

I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m a one-man show

Thanks

It looks like you can add the 16 port digital station card but I would call NTAC to confirm.
