I want to learn a web design program. I would like to compare Dreamweaver MX vs. Adobe GoLive. Does anyone have expierence with either of them? Both?

macromedia studio is a nice suite. haven't used the adobe but sure someone can offer some advice. studio mx is a good mix kind of like MS office and allows that same intermingling of the different programs.

I have not used GoLive but Dreamweaver is awsome. Started with Frontpage but that is the typical MS software and didn't care for it.

If you want bang for the buck try NetObjects/Fusion. www.netobjects.com

I use Dreamweaver 4 which I really like. I really liked Allaire Homesite which was discontinued (I believe). There are a number of free programs like:

I have both, so I have decided to focus on Dreamweaver. Not because of anything against Go Live, but Dreamweaver seems to be the standard, so the long term potential might be there.
