I need to set up a remote warehouse with over head paging from the main site. The Valcom VIP-801 will do the job perfectly but is a bit pricey for a one or two horn project. Can anyone recommend a reliable and cost effective alternative?

Thanks in advance,

Can you provide a little more detail about the site in question.

Is the warehouse in a different building? if yes how far from the main site.

When you say main site. do you mean the warehouse is located on different property?

What are you interfacing the IP paging system with?

How will the warehouse paging be physically connected to the main site paging?

Put in an cheap ip phone and connect speaker lead to paging horn or amp. can be single dial or part of a group.

Thanks for the replies. I did think about the IP phone speaker hak, but I think that would be the last resort.

The main site is a typical 600 ohm paging output from an esi cs200 phone system. I need to make the remote warehouse part of the all call over head paging. I have two remote IP phones at the remote site in the offices but need to announce in the warehouse also. A Valcom VIP810 at the main site and a Valcom VIP800 at the remote site with a 1030C paging horn would do the job perfectly, it's just very pricey for a single paging horn. I was hoping someone may have used some other system that is reliable and more cost friendly.

Is there any copper between the buildings? If so bridge the connections to another amp in that building. I've done this with Bogen TPU series amps before

Have a look at the ALGO 8180 Sip paging/ringing device.
They connect as a sip extension and auto answer for paging.
Algo also have speakers i think but you can use any speaker, or connect it to an AMP if need be

I installed one of these for a customer to page on a hosted system, works great:
