Is there a limit on how many consoles can be installed on a DXP with 14A software?

Consoles in the DXP are limited to the number of ports you have in the system.
Each console takes a port. The limit is with the telephone that it is "married" to. Each telephone can have a maximum of two (2) consoles and they do not have to be on adjacent ports. On the DXP, the consoles are "married" in programming and are not port controlled. With that console number it sounds like you are using Americom phones.
Also on the DXP you can mix console types. That type of console will give you 96 buttons max for one telephone plus the telephone buttons. You will program the buttons in button mapping for the telephone.

It is a SCS Family 24 button console.

I found a SAB on Comdials website stating sometimes you have to default the port you are using for the console and then program it back as a console in phone types.

Defaulting the port works most of the time.
But use a master clear 3 on the system, this will make all ports completely blank. this will insure that there are no group intercoms on that port which can cause problems. I had the master clear 3 added much earlier that rel 14A. That console will auto ID.
