I need to program all the phones to ring on line 5 which i recently added. As of now it only rings x10. I have a manual , just not able to locate it.This ksu is mid 80's and the phones are black and beige with 8 line buttons at the bottom and 16 dss buttons at the top. None of the phones have displays if that matters. Can anyone help? Thanks
At station 10
Intercom *746*
1.Dial 10-25 the station you want to program
2.Press 1 for ringing line pref.
3.Press 2 then press the lines keys 1-8 you want to ring on that station.
4.Press * then dial the next station and repeat steps or press Monitor or Spekaer to end.
thanks i will try it. Sounds familar
I tried it but no success. Even used *#746*. Where you posted *746*. I found my manual but it shows using a display to program and I don't even think its the one I need. Manual was printed in 93'. All I need is to get a couple phones to ring on line 5. Is there some type of confirmation tones to listen for? I know this is simple if someone could help me.
It is either a 816X or a Executech II, they do program a little different. On the side of the KSU you will see a white sticker. Can you tell me exactly what it says then I will know what you are working on.
But both models program with the I*746* at station 10 with handset on-hook. And they didn't support display phones.
You have no e-mail or phone number in your profile so it makes it very hard to get with you to help. I could walk you through it in about 1 min.

Is it a black or tan cabinet?
It's a tan cabinet. Has 8 rj11 jacks for the lines and a amp conn for stations 10-25. I will still get the numbers off the sticker.
Then it most defiantly programs with I*746*, Now we need to know if it's a 816X or Executech II
the sticker says executech model 816 revision D ,1787 ser#40329 also it has 2 amp connectors labeled j1 and j2 and the 8 rj11's.
Then the info I posted is the correct programming steps.
i will try again ,thanks. let you know how it goes.
You have mail my friend, hope it helps.
