Anybody have a headset they would recommend using the 2.5mm jack on the DX-80 phones?

I have a customer complaining of sounding faint to callers and lifting the handset to hang up.

I've used Plantronics adapter so they could use their Encore headset and plug directly into the DX-80 phone. Also have used Panasonic headsets--don't recall the number---let me look them up. Have also used Radio Shack ones---customer just buys them himself. I'll get back with you on that Panasonic part number.

1. Plantronics 2.5mm adapter is 43038-01. This is about a one ft long adapter. Converts quick disconnect to 2.5mm. I think there may be longer ones, but I've never used them.
2. Panasonic KX-TCA90 headsets with 4 ft cord. Also have used the Plantronics PL-M110 with 2.5mm plug. I really like the 2.5mm jacks on the DX-80. It makes it so that everyone can have a headset if they want. The $189.00 price tag for the Amps and headsets were just too much. I had a DX-80 customer order 20 of the KX-TCA90s and 4 of the Plantronics adapters last week. Good Luck.

Is this the one that looks like the Plantronics' "FireFly" ?

Well--I get a headache when I spend too much time on headsets---but I have seen the Plantronics Firefly (so named, I think, because when you are on a call, a red indicator light goes on) and they looked good. I asked the receptionist about the sets, and she was quite pleased with the quality. They cost about $65-$75 while the CA91 is much cheaper. I'd like to order some Fireflies and see how they work. I've never had any problem with a Plantronics product yet.
