I have a customer who doesn't want audible ringing on some IST extensions; we agreed to put strobe lights at these locations to indicate ringing. The lights do not work very well; seems that there is not enough ringing voltage or the cadence in not correct. Is there any way to get one long ring in incoming co calls? Any suggestions appreciated

There is no provision for continous ring or changing the cadence on the DX80. I doubt the issue is the ring current, more likely it's the light. If the port will ring an old single line set with a bell in it, it will power the light. You could use IST's that have the light built into the phone.

I use this

in a bar on an IST port with a cordless phone.

The issue with using strobes is the charge/discharge time. Add on ringer/light modules are available at https://www.sandman.com/pdf/Page72.pdf
that might serve your purpose.

markk and jwooten gave excellent solutions and one other option I use is the Wheelock Part # UTA-WH and disable the ringer portion in my hospital environment.

Wheelock makes an AC powered strobe that is extremely bright and only uses the ring current for a trigger.
It is model# PS-11A-WPW
