We have a Comdial Impact phone system in our office. My phone chirps (loudly) with every incoming call. (It's the same "chirp" that is used to alert me that a call is actually for me and that I need to pick up.)
How can I get the phone to quit chirping every single time the phone rings at our secretary's desk? (It started doing this yesterday, after someone else was at my desk the day before, so I suspect that some phone buttons got inadvertently pushed, and I would like to UNpush them...)
Thanks,
Marla
A single chirp means your ringer is turned off. When the phone is ringing, adjust the volume control up. This should take care of your issue.
Thanks - that did take care of the annoying chirp. Now I hear the phone ring, but it's at a much lower volume, and I can live with that. Thanks so much for your help!

To make your phone default to certain volume follow these steps:

1. PRESS INTERCOM.
2. CHOOSE speaker, headset, handset, or
group listen mode to be affected.
3. While in that mode, PRESS VOLUME UP
OR VOLUME DOWN to adjust loudness.
4. DIAL **5 to hold the loudness at
the last setting for all future calls (until it
is changed again).
