Help... we just added caller id on our comdial dx-80 phone system for 3 lines. It shows up fine when the phone is ringing etc. When I try and use the "feature 6 #" to review the caller id log it does not bring me to the caller id menu instead the phone just "beeps" and goes back to the main menu. Any suggestions would be appreciated...or if this won't work because we have more than one line etc.
Thanks

Doesn't it ask for PSWD when you do feature 6#? It will work on all your lines.

RBF is right. Should work automatically on all lines (if they all have CID on them). I just tested my preprogrammed key with F6# on it---it works; and tried dialing F6#--it works (asks for PSWD.)

If that phone doesn't have a password (installer deleted) it will do just what Holeinc said.

I enter the password that they gave me but then it does nothing. So how do I tell if they deleted it. When they set the phones up we didn't have caller id at the time. Is there a way to tell so I don't have to pay them $85 to come out and fix this.

To give a little more info once I enter the password that they gave me and hit the "show" button the phone just beeps at me and returns to the main menu... does this just mean i'm using the wrong password?

probably. If you have a default password it is either 9999 or 0000.

By the way the password can be programmed on the same button with the feature code. Use Feature #3 and put Feature 6#xxxx on the button.
