Hi all,

Our institution in San Francisco is working on partnering with another in Seattle, WA that is planning on moving offices soon. They've got a Comdial system and no support contract. It also seems that the vendor from whom they bought the system is no longer in business.

Their computer support person is unfamiliar with the equipment and I'd like to know if there's some relatively straightforward procedure that I can ask him to follow so we can get a printout of the list of hardware currently installed, and perhaps, a manual for the system based on the hardware specs.

At this point I can describe it only as a gray tower computer-like device. Thanks.
It sounds like an FX-T or FX-S. He/she can go to the back of it and look at the cards, they all should have part numbers on them, list them here and we can tell you....that is the easiest way. By the way, both of those models are discontinued, it might be prudent to upgrade to the FX-II. You can re-use the cards and telephones in the FXT/S cabinet and be in supported hardware.

Hi Steve,

Thanks a bunch for the quick come-back :-)!

I'll see if I can get that done.
Hi folks,

Here's what I got on the cards installed in the system, and a bit on the system itself. I hope this sheds light on the system's capabilities and would appreciate links to any documents about those. Thanks.

Looks like you have a CPU2, which is newer than CPU-1 which is a good thing if you expand the system to more cabinets (among other features), you have one T-1 card, and four 16 port digital station cards (for a total of 64 digital stations). The SRV-2 board is needed if plan to expand into more cabinets.
