We have a Comdial system version 12.0.4134.1 and have been using SMTP for years to send mesasges inside our domain. I would ike to be able to send messages outside our domain. Changing the address under the e-mail tab has been unsuccessful. The message is recorded, but never leaves the c:\VM\ready directory. Has anyone has sucess sending messages outside their domain with SMTP? How about Sendmail?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

So we're working with an FX-II voicemail? Are you using MS Exchange or just a standard SMTP server? You'll need to ensure you're using an SMTP server that is able and permitted to send mail to any host. By sendmail do you mean the popular open source mail transfer agent? Don't you already have an SMTP server in place?

we have a couple FX-II's but a MP5000 is the main unit. Yes we are using MS exchange, and the IP address of the voice mail PC is allowed to relay. the Sendmail app is the other option on the voice mail system.
