If Access Denied is used for certain extensions, does that extension not ring when a call comes in on that line? or would that fall under flexible ring
Ok so I found that it will ring. My issue is when I did an individual block program I did not subtract 10 for port and the stations affected were 43 which is a parts phone and is to only ring on line 9. 53 is on showroom and is night transfer phone and has access to lines 1-7. Now when in night transfer ext. 53 rings line 9 for parts and for some reason ext 22 and 35 are also ringing when a call comes in on line 9. Ext. 53 is a 24 button Impression and 22, 35 are Digitech phones. Ext. 43 is a 12 button Impression. I block programed showroom with model being ext 20 having same phone and programming. Checked flexible ring and line 9 is off, also went through night transfer of ring and line 9 off.
A lot of variables are possible. I hated block programming...too easy to get ports and extensions confused. You could also have hunt group programming that comes into play. Someone could have done extension renumbering. I would just hook up a laptop and look at the programming through Hyperterm or similar emulation program.
