Thanks, Ed
Sam give me a day or two to dig them out. Males I have females I don't.
Thanks, John. I went to make a jumper cable and discovered that I had a dozen females and only 1 male. I don't need to do this very often (once every 10 years or so!) but it's nice to have the stuff on hand.
BTW, years ago when I did Transmission work, we had an Amp machine that made......28?.....30?... (I forget) pair amphenols.
It looked like a standard Champ butterfly tool, just a tad larger. Same with the amphenols. We used it on the output side of the T-3 multiplexors to extend the T-1s out. We used some special shielded AT&T cable that came in 28? 30? pair.
If you need a couple of females, let me know.

I have some male amphenols, Sam, if John can't find his.
Sam, I'll dig them out tmw and send them if you'll please provide an address. I have to go to the post office and FINALLY send Chris his toaster oven too.
Thanks, John! I'll owe you one.
I'll PM you my address.
Sam
Sam,
I've probably been hanging on to them for 30 years. I pulled out 6 for you still in the original pkg. While I was at it I found a few Rams Horns.
They would go nicely with my thru bolts and thimble eyes!
What hoarders we are!
Sam
Sam, You don't have a linemans hammer do you? I also found my brace and bits from when things were done the armstrong way along with two pencil dial butt sets. You are right we don't throw anything away.
I have a whole collection of Bell System tools - including a couple hammers :P
Including a 1A2 Lamp extractor Jeff? I never really understood that one? Needlenose pliers worked fine.
I've got my Klein double faced Lineman's hammer. I used it last week! (not on a pole, though) Broke up some concrete....
I've still got one of those black rubber pencil-dial butt sets. My first one.
I actually started using the lamp extractor when I busted a lamp inside a K-30 (using my long nose) and had a bitch of a time getting the little pieces of glass out.

Sam next time I'm coerced into going into Brooklyn to visit my wifes family, maybe we can grab a coffee. They are right on the other side of the bridge by a funeral home.
John, yes...I think I have 2 lamp extractors. Sam might have even sent me one!
Speaking of funeral homes*, and the proximity of several of our NYC area members, howsa bout we plan a little get together in the Spring?
A nice place in Queens, frinstance? Or Da Bronx? Since many of us are frightened of going to Maine (we've heard about the mosquitos that fly off with sheep and small children) let's do a similar Fun Day With The Boys.
Everyone is welcome, of course, even those guys from New Hampshire.
Sam, since you're the oldest member, can you help plan this event?
*we're not getting any younger, is my point.
Still have my lamp extractor. Very handy for those deep seated 10V lamps.
Everyone is welcome, of course, even those guys from New Hampshire.
I'm up for any excuse to get out of the frozen north!
I picked up a lamp extractor at last year's TCI show in Lancaster. Arthur INSISTED it was something I needed. It is actually handy for the cuckoo clock phones.
I have to go to the post office and FINALLY send Chris his toaster oven too.
Now I get the joke....
"Sam next time I'm coerced into going into Brooklyn to visit my wifes family, maybe we can grab a coffee. They are right on the other side of the bridge by a funeral home."
Sounds good!

Let me get my act together and I'll try to figure something out.

Chris, I hate to pee in your cornflakes, but NYC is also part of the Frozen North. You have two seasons, Winter and the 4th of July. We have two seasons, Winter and July.
I'll settle for less frozen.
