I have a DCS LCD 12B and I want it to stop ringing any time an outside call comes in. I can't figure it out. Help.

it's probably part of the operator group.

go to mmc 600 and under members make sure that that ext isn't in there (if it is delete it)

You may be able to see what group it is in when it rings.Does it say call for XXX?If it does then you can tell by the XXX which group it is in and remove it either from mmc 600 or mmc 601.
Or you can remove it by dialling 53XXX and selecting out. This essentially logs you out of the group without having to enter system programming and you could easily re enable yourself to get calls later.

That worked Perfectly (53xxx - out). Now how do I get the screen to stop saying I will call back. Can you change the sayings and how does that work. When I call another station it comes up also as well as on mine all the time. Sorry, these phones are new to me.

What exactly does it say?Does it say unavail cbt?
That means there is no call key on the phone and you must have at least 1 to make intercom calls.

You have display message activated. Press Trans, 115, 0, Trans to take the call back message off the screen.

So when you dialled 53xxx and tried to push the In button it said not a member? If that's the case then you have been removed from the group.Or did you by accident maybe dial the wrong group number?

I removed myself from the group so the phone didn't ring. Now when I have the floor for the day, I need the calls to ring on my phone, do I would have to belong to the group again. Is there a simpler way? Or do I have to take myself in and out of the group? Thanks.

If you removed yourself with the 53XXX code, then that will also put you back in.If you removed yourself from the group using mmc 600 or 601 then you have to put the extension back in using the mmc programming.

How do you do that?
Posted By: Jonnydanger Re: turn off ringer - 01/14/05 10:16 PM
Try:
Transfer 800
Passcode
Press 1
Press " Speaker"
Press " 601"

Scroll to the group you want using the volume and 3 soft keys on the very top of the phone.

Once you find the group, you must locate the " MEMBERS" section by scrolling. I believe its numbered 1-32. Find an empty slot then add your extension.

I think this is how you do it unless you have a agent group setup then you would you could assign yourself a button to just login or logout as you please. You may want to look into this if you are having to switch between being in a good and being out of a group every day.

I just figured at the passcode on my system - trial and error!! Now after doing what I was told, my phone now responds to the 53xxx "in" and "out" of a group where as before it would only let me out and not back in. Thanks everyone. Now to figure out how to shorten it to just one button......?

You assign a IGxxx key to the keysey that you want to give this ability.Lets say its group 501.
So you assign a key IG501 to the set in mmc 722.Now whenever you press that key it will automatically bring you to the IN OUT on the screen just like dialling 53501.

Would I program that the same way johnnydanger told me to program the group in an out? Is it possible for a slight step by step? I appreciate your help!
