Hi there, we are a small company with
two 12 button digital phones working on
a DCS816.
As we are often out of the office, we want
to transfer all incoming calls to a cell
phone number when we leave.

I have tried TRSF102 - 5 - Exteranal No.
on both of the extensions and it says
FWD to External on both phones but for
some reason, when I ring in to test it,
both phones still ring and nothing gets
externally diverted???

Any help appreciated.

BTW we have Basic rate ISDN connected
to the system connected to Trunk 503 and
504 which allows 2 incoming or 2 outgoing calls so it should be able to transfer out on the other trunk so to speak..
If you are using the call forward to external feature you have to have a forward external button programmed on the set. Also you need to set the ringing to that set not to a group.

Thanks for that!!

I have just tried two things and would really appreciate it if you could direct me on them..

1. I have just tried to program the incoming trunk 703 to only ring on extension number 201 (which is our first incoming ring no.)but cannot find where to do that..

2. I have just tried to program the keys
so that forward to external is available on
that set but can only find the forward
option then you have to scroll and choose
external.. Is this what you mean??

Many thanks in advance..

Mike
I assume you know how to enter programming
Transfer 800
Passcode
1

You need to change ringing in mmc 406 for 703.
In mmc 722 to program external forward on a set program a frwd5 key onto a button. You can program the number to forward to using the handset if you have a user guide.
Thanks PVJ, have managed to now get the first trunk of our ISDN to only hit extension no. 201 and have setup a forward
ext button on the station for 201.
I have used a manual to program the fwrd
ext to a mobile number.

When I call in from another no. it still
hits ext. 201 and rings for about 4 times
then stops ringin on the 201 station.

It doesnt seem to divert to the mobile/cell
number... Aaarghh!! =)

Sorry for all this hassle..
When you programmed the external number did you remember to put the trunk access code in? ie 9
Also in mmc 501 there is a timer for ext. fwd delay which is a timer that elays the external forward process until this timer runs out.You can set it lower to eliminate the delay to say 1 or 2 seconds.
Thanks for all your help PVJ, you are a legend, its all sorted!!! =)

It was diverting but to a non-connected
trunk as in MMC428 it had all analogue
and digital trunks dialing one another.
I turned off all but the working trunks
and vwalla.. it worked.

Thanks once again!!

Mike
