Hello. We have a Prostar DCS system with the Cadence Voicemail System. The company that installed the system for us is no longer available and I was hoping to get some information here. Our initial situation was that our Cadence voicemail was hacked (default admin passcode) and someone set forwarding to an international number.

I have successfully reset all Cadence passcodes (I think), but as a safety-measure, I'd like to be able to access the DCS programming as well, in the case that we need. In fact, I'd probably like to change all codes from default, since I'm not even sure if any type of DISA is enabled.

Is it possible for an administrator to email me the default technician level passcodes? I'm looking specifically for the default 800 level code.

If disa is enabled they cant do anymore than use outside lines to make calls and maybe mess up a mail box or two but you have changed all of the codes they could use. as far as mmc they need to be onsite or using a sim or dail up to get in and with the last two you dont need a passcode any way, but if you still want to change it you need the old code first and if you dont have that then a call to samsung is needed to get it reset.

Thanks - I actually had managed to figure out the code (wasn't the default one, but easy enough based on the company information of the installer) that I needed and have successfully re-configured everything to secure our system.

A few of the things that I wanted to change were the Toll Deny/Accept features and turning off mailboxes for unused stations.

Regardless, most of it was straightforward (for me) once I had the codes. I also hooked up a serial line to our VM card and looked at the reports there - which helped a lot for understanding how the VM system works.
