First, let me introduce myself. My name is Jonny, I work at an electronics company and do all their IT and telephone support.
We have a bunch of mainly Samsung KPDCS-12B phones and I have been asked to solve some minor niggles. All the phones are in the same building, there's just an upstairs and downstairs divide. I have the full programming manual to hand but am a bit confused by the names of some features.

If someone internally rings a direct number to another internal handset, after a certain number of rings it will divert to the main secretary/receptionist if unanswered. Can I just keep it ringing on the same phone until the internal caller hangs up?

Also, is it possible for the phone system to automatically go onto answering machine during particular hours of the day?

Cheers,
Jonny

You really need to tell us which system you have and maybe the software level.

What my good friend wrichey said will work but it will cancel all call forwarding.
Not sure why you would want to do this what if the staion user is not at their phone?Wouldn't you eventually want it to go to the mailbox?

Sorry about the lack of info. I'm new to this hitech digital phone stuff. On the main box it just says Samsung DCS. It's from the mid/early 90s if thats any help.
About the internal call thing. We're only in quite a small building and we also don't have voicemail boxes for each extension. If someone tries to ring (internal to internal) and can't get thru, they just leave a skype message instead. The main thing is that the receptionist gets a bit fed up with unanswered internal calls coming back to her phone when the person calling may be sat a few yards from her!

Ok you need to get into programming ie transfer then xxx then the passcode then 1 to enable after that you need to go to mmc xxx and check to see which trunks ring were ie xxx rings 500 day and 501 night write these down we will need them later.Hit your speaker then dail xxx if the trunks ring at the xxx operator group xxx if they ring any other group you can change the overflow timers in there or the stations they ring. If the trunks just ring stations hit the speaker key and dail 104 then dail the station that rings and use your volume keys to scroll through and change the forwarding options there.
