Got a strange one. VM is set in 529 with port 213 and 214 respectively. What is happening is ext 202 is getting random calls from ext 213(vm port 1). phone rings does not follow forwarding of ext 202 and rings until answered. When answered, caller gets silence. Tech support said this was a new one for them. I have deleted both ext and mbox for 202, ran forced maintenance. recreated ext and mbox, same problem exists. This problem is very random with no rhyme or reason, but customer is getting tired of walking in first thing in the morning to neverending ringing phantom call. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Check your activity logs.. find out why it is making that call. Also, does the day or night menu No-Entry to 202? phantom calls may be coming from CO and then not receiving diconnect.

could also be a message notification from a station, but in that case the v-mail would say something when the person answers.. so most likely not that.

It could also be a malfunctioning MW light. Voicemail trying to activate the light but instead malfuctions and system sees it as a call. would most likely happen system wide though.

I would try a new board with the old flash memory and see if that helps, if not, or if you dont ahve another board, if you have an available station port on the cabinet, create a new ext number and leave 202 unplugged. With no phone to ring it should go away. Ovbiously not the best solution, but your customer will be less annoyed.

Have you tried moving the customer data off the svmi, defaulting the svmi, then moving the data back on? When I have run into very strange svmi problems this has fixed the problem. Could be something like a corrupted database. I would try BacherJr's ideas as well.
have you checked alarm ringing and see if it is set to ring 202 instead of 201 ?

sometimes rebooting after maint or a bad shutdown/startup will cause this.
I would also check the other mailboxes and make sure none of them have a notification set to 202. I can't remember if you can do this on the old svmi but I know it can happen on the E series. Even though you aren't hearing anything it could still be a notification of some kind.
Turn on Do not Disturb until he wants calls.

Check MMC745- Whenever the system does maintenence it will call the extension listed in MMC745 a number of times. I set it to an unused extension.

I think you might be a little late posting here. Look at the date of the original post and the last reply.
