The system:
OS 100 v2.66 with a SVMi-4e, 8 phones 5 loop start lines on a 6TRK
full Auto Attendant

The problem:
when a user call forwards their desk phone to an external number (ie. cell phone) by using the 601 feature then 9 then the number, and a caller dials their extension number from the Auto Attendant, the call is not completed, the system DOES pick up a line and DOES receive dial tone, but never dials anything (listened to the line with a butt set during testing). The system will not drop the line (pull bridge clips to clear line).

The kicker:
call forwarding works fine when an internal user dials the forwarded extension.

The nitty gritty:
I spent an hour and fifty minutes troubleshooting with Samsung Tech Support to no avail...we were unable to resolve the issue and the call ended with "default and reprogram the system" which I think is Korean for "get off my phone loser, and don't call back!"

The question:
Is there anything you can recommend checking or testing before I have to yank the system out and put their old system back in (it's a fresh install)?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or assistance you may give.
I have had this same issue and tech support had no fix for it also ..I did end up using fwd no answer to the cell and they were happy with that.

By the way dumping the system DID NOT WORK....

dumping the system NEVER works...it's tech supports way of saying "I don't know, go away"
Simple, Go to the Extension block for that extension and change the Supervision Level to "Partial".
Pete Largo ,

try this,it works for me.

D.
MMC 501 transfer call timer to 30 sec.
MMC 210 ICM EXT FWD on
MMC 502 Change EXT FWD Delay to 1

In voicemail set in extensions the ext you are FWD
Set supervision to PARTIAL
supervision to PARTIAL seems to have fixed the issue.

I don't understand WHY, but thanks for the help guys!

Does the delay 1 take away the dial tone u hear just before the transfer?

Josh,

This thread is over two years old, please start a new thread.

Also... to answer your question, changing the delay to 1 does not take away the dial tone.
