We have configured a out of hours message using a group 506 however when the caller goes through to the VM the line does not clear for 10 mins , we have tried different units and it's the same , Version 4.14 7100
The CO Sup is set at default 400ms but even if this is altered it still does not clear.
any ideas would be good ?

You could set up the 'no entry' field in the menu input processor to 'bye' which would play the greeting then hang up.

I have had that happen with a 7100 and many different Samsung phone systems. It usually ends up being the telephone line provider. They don't send the right disconnect signal and it doesn't allow the phone system to disconnect the call.

Thanks for the replies , I have tried different exchange lines on 3 different 7100 and the VM hold the exchange line up on all the units, tested on a 7200 this dropped the call after 1 min ?

I've had this, was told it was because its a residential bt line and not business and the proper disconnect signal is not being sent...

Customer agreed to leave it till they changed to ISDN so never found a fix.

We have tested on numerous Exchange Lines and it was ok on Exchange line without DSL but on line with DSL the VM stayed connected once the message had been leaft up to 1 min , on the non dsl it took 7 sec, it also appear to be happening on the 7200 also Samsung UK say they do "not support DSL on Exchange Lines" even though other vendors kit works fine !!!

Ring BT and ask them to ensure the Loop Disconnect timer is set to 800ms.

You can also set the CO Supv to 500ms.

This may still cause issues when dialling in with mobiles but upgrading to ISDN2 is the only answer really.
