Hi Again,

Is the SVM-800 compatible with the iDCS 500?

I've hooked it up as per normal, but the VM group 529 although configure automatically by the iDCS500 as a BI-VM group, when i dial 529 it just diverts to the operator group.

If anyone has any hints on how to get this working I would appreciate it!

Do you have any members listed in group 529?

No, I found in MMC XXX to change to DLI from SVMi but still no go. Apparently should now be set up on 539 as its the last group but nothing... and I can not add the VMAA ports, it wont let me

Edit to remove MMC's, please do not post installer level MMc's in the ope forum.

i just tried setting up group 538 as a VMAA group and added the four DLIs that are connected to the SVM-800 and when i dial the group I just get 538: not asssinged..

This is really weirding me out

Update - I've reconfigured the SVM-800 and the idcs500. Ive now set group 529 manually as a VMAA group. Im getting the display prompts now for vmail and seems to be working fine, however I can't get the recording function to work - Im not really sure that the ksu is picking up the fact that it has the SVM-800 attached more so then the fact I manually set up the VMAA group. Any comments or ideas appreciated.

Additionally calls transfered to the VMAA group for B/NA just get a message from outside saying "Sorry, there is no answer" It takes a message but doesnt end up anywhere.

I'm totally unfamiliar with the SVM-800, but I will tell you that when I tried to set up a third party voicemail and use the default Samsung SVMi group, ie 519,529,539 I had weird problems. I would definitely use a different group number.

System sorted itself out. I totally reinstalled the SVM-800 as per my 10+ year old instructions and it seems to have done the trick. The SVM-800 is certainly listed in an updated OS manual I got, but the record feature is still not working as it used to - small price to pay, but better to have vmail then nothing!
