We are proposing upgrading a 90s-era DCS to a 7220-S. Their phones are very clean and usable 24B sets. Most are version 1.2 for the keysets. What is the lowest version 1.x keyset you can use with the 7200-S? Can't find it in the manual. Thanks.

I've been testing some of my pre-install configs by using using of some ancient looking 1.8 DCS keysets I found on the back shelf. They seem to be working fine with all the latest systems. The 7200s uses the same digial line cards as the 7100, I would suspect that they would be supported.
Hi
The older keysets will work fine with the new/er systems.
New keysets will not always work with older systems.
In that case you need to update your system's firmware if you want the olderkeysets to work.
1.8? I didn't know the old DCS set's version went that high. Can't be too ancient smile .

I tried a 1.3 12B DCS phone on a 7100 and 7030 here, both running 4.46d and it runs fine.

There was something said in the 7200-S webinar about not using older DCS sets though. There are a lot of 1.1 and 1.2 keysets out there from the 90s.

If they don't work, I believe it is pretty obvious. The lights all flash or the display won't go past the version number.

Ancient looking refered to the fact that they look like someone fished em out of the dumpster.

The 1.8 came from the better looking DCS 24B unit I had sitting on my desk as a close reference.
Talked to Samsung. They need to be 1.2 or higher to work on the 7200-S.

Version 1.0 is really old, not many out there, but there are a lot of 1.1s from the 90s so use caution.
We had a dealer install a 7200 with about 30-40 DCS 1.0 and just about couldnt get the system to function. But I have put a few on them here and there with no problem.
