Customer had alarm guy move their old Samsung DCS PCS? from one floor to another, with Amanda voice mail.

Now phones do not ring, and Amanda Voice mail cannot be accessed.

Is this system same as old Macro-Tel? ( I have Macro-Tel Manual)
I think pw may be different?

What pair does AMANDA hook up to?

Nope nothing like Macrotel. The Macrotel was similar in programming of the Samsung 816/816 Plus. The Amanda will hook up to the SLI card but to function correctly the ports must be VMAA ports.

I wonder if you have lost programming after the move?

Tell em to have the alarm guy figure it out... if he is qualified to move a system he should be able to troubleshoot one as well.

Yup .... you might give up a couple of hundred dollars in gross revenue.

But ... if more of us would refuse to clean up after computer guys, electricians and alarm guys steal our work and then screw it up the word might get out a little more.

I just took a wiring job away from a sparky.... i just told the customer our pricing was the same and the opportunity for issues increased dramatically if we didn't do the wiring... if we do the wiring it will be done with no issues... period!

I will clean up another vendors horror show but I make it very clear to the customer we can correct it but time and material only.If the customer insists on a flat price I will walk away.
