the customer has a 7200 which was on 4.30I they are complaining for a while now that they are not getting notifacation when sombody leaves a message (mostly from outside callers after ringing a ddi) the lamp is not lighting and if they dial into voicemail it might tell them they have a message or a couple of them etc. which could have been left the previous day,,now this doesnt happen all the time and when i have tested it it has been working but it does seem to be happening on and off on random extensions ....I have downgraded it to 4.30d a couple of days ago but they tell me its still happening ?? any ideas ??

Try checking the time and date on system and vm.

I have had this issue a couple of times.

Look at the MWI settings (page 2 or 3) in the Mailbox block.

Sometimes they don't get (re)set correctly.
They are sometimes set to N when it should be Y.

Also check to make sure its got the correct extension number in the MWI field.

Also make sure the mailbox block is paired with the extension block. I have seen where both blocks are there but not paired with each other.
