Hi All
today i was upgrading a7400 with 150 itp phones to allow for the connection of a conf24 card

I upgraded the mp40 from 4.30d to 4.53c and the lp40 to 1.27 after a couple of tests i realised there was only on way speech on calls(PRI) okon internal so i tought the MGI16 should also of been upgraded but i couldnt FTP onto the MGI16 card and also wasnt quite sure of the procedure and as i didnt have a spare card i aborted and downgraded the MP40 back to 4.30 i left the LP40 the same (1.27) but the 2 way speech came back (TG)any help or ideas on the correct way to upgrade the MGI 16
thanks

You need the upgrade files, a FTFP Server such as Pumpkin and a cable to connect via SIO to the card. Quite a job but goes smoothly if you have everything in place first. PM sent.

The reason you couldn't ftp into the MGI was that you hadn't reset it after uploading the db so that the ip address change takes effect.

Not sure why you would need a serial cable, you can just telnet into it
