Hi,

I have an OS7200 double cab on MCP 4.42b with an MGI16 on v1.20 in slot4 of the expansion cab.

I have ISDN 30 and 8 licenced SIP channels from Gamma.

The problems are as follows:-

IP to IP on the internal LAN no speech either way, (MMC 615 is fully populated with mgi channels 3801-3816)

IP to Digi, speech heard on the digi side.

Calls in on the SIP.

Perfect to a digi phone
External caller can be heard on IP handset but not the otherway round.

Calls out on the SIP

Both Digi and IP handsets display IP Network Link Failure.

Ive done a wireshark trace of sip protocol and it shows on inbound the sip info between the MCP address and the external Voip provider address (invites, acks, bye) but i dont know how to look at what the mgi is doing in wireshark (show the voice packets not just the signalling)

It would be great if someone could help on this!!

Lets tackle this 1 problem at a time.

1st speech issues on IP Phones -
IP phone to IP phone doesn't use MGI channels (it may use MPS channels, but since you don't have an OAS card this is irrelevant)

What model and firmware version are the IP Phones? and are they on the same subnet as the MCP and MGI?

Many thanks for the reply Nameless, I created my own LAN away from the customers and we had no problems whatsoever. I batted back to the IT company who have found issues with the network.

Not sure what they were but the handsets and the SIP work fine now!
