i have a customer that just bought this IP 6000 for their 7400. I have never set up an IP phone that is NOT a samsung on any samsung system. any ideas on how i go about doing this? yes they have an MGI card with about 50 IP phones already in use. i just need to figure out how to register this thing.... Help. thanks

I have done one of these. You need to purchase a 3rd party SIP station license. And configure the SIP station in the system.

I have a guide i wrote up with instructions for this phone.

You'll want 4.4x or higher software, ideally 4.6x.

Conferencing from this is a bit painfull as you have to treat it like a SLT phone, and not use the conference button on the phone as the samsung doesn't support the method used by the polycom to make a conference call.

7400/ version 4.46d. So i have SIP trunks already installed into the system. So there is another license?? needed to at SIP stations?? Nameless can you PM me the guide you wrote up on this please? thanks

as ironhedz said - you will need a 3rd party sip phone license.

I will pm you the guide.

It will work on OS7400 4.46d but the conference has 1 more step due to a bug in os7400 4.46d software.

I'll try to dig up the conference guide i made for a customer who has os7400 4.46d.
